6th EU-Eastern Partnership/ Central Aisa Policy Stakeholders' Conference

The policy dialogue in Tbilisi was the 6th and last in a series of similar conferences that took place between 2009 and 20012. The focus of the current event was on the EU-EaP/CA STI cooperation in addressing societal challenges: priorities, modalities and synergies of policies and instruments.

IncoNet CA/SC facilitates the participation of Central Asian and South Caucasus reserachers in networking event in Germany

The 4th "Successful R&D in Europe" European Networking Event took place on 8th and 9th of March 2012 at Duesseldorf Airport. Some 350 participants from 28 countries were given an international platform from which to launch EU projects.

Armenia – Task 3.1: Grants for participation in Brokerage events in EU

The second call for grant scheme to support participation of researchers from Armenia in Brokerage events in EU was announced in January 2012 by the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia within Task 3.1 of FP7 IncoNet CASC Project. The grant scheme call was announced for the participation in the Successful R&D in Europe: 4th European Networking Event to be held through 8 - 9 March, 2012, in Dusseldorf, Germany, organized by Ministry of Innovation, Science and Research of North Rhine-Westphalia and Enterprise Europe Network. The thematic focus of the call is FP7 Food, Agricultural and Fisheries, and Biotechnology priority.

Uzbekistan – Task 3.1: Grants for participation in Brokerage events in EU

In December 15, 2011 an open call for Grant Scheme 3.1 to support the participation of researchers from Uzbekistan in FP7 events was announced by the IncoNet CASC project partner Indo-Uzbek Centre for Promotion Scientific and Technological Cooperation (IUCP-T) with the assistance of the Committee for Coordination Science and Technology Development under Cabinet of Ministers.

Moldova – Task 3.1: Grants for participation in Brokerage events in EU

The second open call for grant scheme to support participation of researchers from Moldova in FP7 events was launched in August 2011. The call was announced by the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, a partner of the consortium in the European Project IncoNet CA/SC. The deadline for submitting applications was September 15.

General Assemblies of the InoNets EECA and CA/SC will be held from 5th to 7th October 2011 in Bucharest, Romania, organised by NSPSPA. Evidence policy making in science, technology and innovation is an important matter that finds its response in STI strategies developed and programmes implemented. Key-indicators for assessment of STI are widely used to set targets in national strategies but advanced knowledge about data production guidelines, processing standards for statistical data and the usability are fields widely neglected in Central Asian countries.

Project visits to Central Asia and South Caucasus

Among other tasks, IncoNet CA/SC is dedicated to identifying strategic research areas of mutual interest with potential for future cooperation between the Member States/Associated Candidate States and Central Asia/South Caucasus.
