About IncoNet CA/SC

The countries of Central Asia and the Southern Caucasus are of strategic importance for the political and economic development of the European Union. As neighbourhood regions and as growing markets for European products and services, their political and social stability as well as their economic growth will contribute to prosperity and welfare in Europe.

IncoNet CA/SC is an EU project directed at Central Asian/ South Caucasus countries and promoting bi-regional cooperation in research and development policy.

Specific activities include round-table discussions to foster networking among political decision makers and local research stakeholders, thereby creating awareness about the greater bi-regional policy dialogue. The discussions will bring together key players from a single country to enhance exchange and dialogue between different pillars of the S&T system.

 IncoNet CA/SC aims to:

• deepen understanding of research policies in the region.
• raise awareness by organising bi-regional stakeholder conferences.
• expand the network and get additional stakeholders involved.
• organise one mission in CA and one in SC, including partners from the EU MS/AC, with visits to each country in the respective sub-region. These missions will be organised with the support of local partners and regional correspondents of the IncoNet EECA project.
